KNACKSAT-2 Successfully Passed Space Environment Testing

Following the successful press conference on October 11, 2023, the KNACKSAT-2 satellite was transported to the Kyushu Institute of Technology to undergo rigorous space environment testing at the center of nano-satellite testing. This critical phase aimed to ensure that the satellite could withstand the harsh conditions of space and operate as expected.

The space environment testing included a series of assessments designed to simulate the extreme temperatures, vibration, and vacuum conditions that the satellite will encounter in orbit. The testing process is crucial for validating the durability and functionality of the satellite’s components and systems.

We are pleased to report that KNACKSAT-2 passed all tests with flying colors. The positive results confirm that the satellite is fully prepared for its upcoming mission. This achievement marks a significant milestone for the project, demonstrating the robustness and reliability of the KNACKSAT-2 design and its readiness for launch.

The KNACKSAT-2 satellite, a 3U CubeSat developed by NBSPACE Company Limited and King Mongkut’s University of Technology North Bangkok (KMUTNB), is set to be launched from the International Space Station (ISS) in early 2024. This project is a collaboration between KMUTNB, NBSPACE, Kyushu Institute of Technology, and the Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA).

Stay tuned for more updates on the progress of KNACKSAT-2 as we move closer to the launch date.
